Fancy some very tasty Vietnamese food in Cologne? Then go to Lu. With its small menu of daily specials, it’s always fresh and always delicious.
Lu is a simple but stylish Vietnamese restaurant situated near to Zulpicher Platz. The dishes are simple and packed full of flavour and texture. The fixed menu is small but there’s always a blackboard full of different, delicious daily specials.
Green curries are a regular feature and there are always beef, pork and vegetarian options, as well as ramen noodle soups too. You’ll find spring rolls and Vietnamese salads on the fixed menu that are fresh and full of flavour and there are also daily special drinks made fresh on the premises.
My personal experience of Lu has been good every time. But don’t expect overly friendly service – the staff are fast and pragmatic but don’t have time to stand around and chat. And that’s OK because the food does all the talking and it never disappoints!
Book in advance if you can as its hard to get a table if you just show up. You might have to share one of the long benches with a bunch of strangers, but you might even make some new friends, and when the weather warms up you can always sit outside.
